APPROVAL OF MINUTES

1.  OFFICE PLANT CLINIC REPORT:

Very positive and upbeat assessment of the plant clinics in 2007.  General consensus is that having a limited number of volunteers is best.

2.  WILSON BANNER RANCH:

October 13:  Low turnout.  Relative disappointment.  Suggested that one (1) day is enough for MG participation.  Generally agreed that October 20 may not be worth the effort.

3.  YARD AND GARDEN SERIES FALL WORKSHOPS:  Reminder

Fall Gardening 101  Tuesday November 6 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Grape Growing 101 tentative for December 8 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

4.  2008 MASTER GARDENER AND HORTICULTURE TRAINING

Debate as to how to conduct interviews.  Several suggestions for an overview/introductory meeting with all candidates, then later one on one interviews.  No decision or consensus reached.

5.  MENTORING:

Reminder that mentors will be needed for the new class.  Call for a mentors meeting in December 2007.

6.  HOURS

Reminder to complete paperwork

7.  POSSIBLE TRIP TO WSU ENTIMOLOGY MUSEUM

Lots of interest expressed.  Mark will send notice of dates and times if it can be arranged

8.  WEED COMMITTEE

Dwight:  No seed collection this year -- too few yellow starthistle

9.  CHRISTMAS POTLUCK

Bev Sinkbeil Tuesday December 11 at Noon -- details to follow

10.  NEXT MEETING

Tuesday November 13 at 1 pm

Lengthy meeting expected.   Bring 2008 calendars!
